CENTRAL RESPONSE

This workstream supports central government departments to work together effectively in responding to an emergency.
LOCAL RESILIENCE

LOCAL RESILIENCE

This workstream supports local resilience partners in England so they can carry out their duties under the Civil Contingencies Act (CCA) to plan for, respond to and recover from emergencies. 

CBRN

CBRN

This aims to ensure that the UK is able to respond quickly and effectively to and recover from emergencies involving chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear material. 

MASS CASUALTY

MASS CASUALTY

This aims to make sure that emergency responders and the NHS are able to cope with large numbers of injured people following a major incident.
FLOODING

FLOODING

This aims to make sure that the UK can respond to severe river, ground water and coastal flooding. This includes being able to evacuate, rescue and shelter people affected by flooding. 

TELECOMMUNICATIONS

This workstream makes sure that responders are able to communicate effectively with each other and the public in the response to an emergency.
RECOVERY

RECOVERY

Aiming to make sure that individuals and families, private and public sector organisations and local communities are able to recover quickly and effectively from emergencies.

INTEROPERABILITY

Supporting the delivery of compatible and coherent systems, procedures and equipment enabling emergency responders to conduct large scale joint operations efficiently.

This workstream aims to build capability to respond quickly and effectively in treating people as part of an emergency response to a serious infectious disease outbreak
